Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 Aura Edition (16" Intel) Laptop for Accounting/Finance/MIS & Gaming?

I will be attending college in the fall as an Accounting & Finance double major (may switch to Accounting & MIS). I know little to nothing about tech, specs, etc. so any input is greatly appreciated! I have been looking into a few laptops such as Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 Aura Edition 16" Intel laptop. From what I’ve heard, it sounds good but I haven’t seen much reviews on it.

Laptop will mostly be used for college. If I have free time (likely rare), I want to play games and VC with friends.

Factors to consider:

  • Good or exceptional battery life (8-10+ hours of schoolwork)
  • 10-digit number pad
  • Can run Accounting/Finance or Accounting/MIS (still deciding) software
  • Portable as a commuter
  • Can run Roblox (most important lol). I also want to try Valorant for the first time, but it’s NOT a priority. I’m playing everything on low graphics because I’m used to it
  • Doesn’t heat up signficantly
  • Good cooling systems
  • Fans aren’t TOO loud
  • Smooth performance and gameplay
  • 16" laptop
  • Weighs less than 5 lbs
  • Can multitask on it
  • Can handle LOTS of tabs…
  • On the Lenovo website, there’s a grad sale going on so I would get a $400 discount on this laptop. This would bring my costs to $1,399.99, but might be less if I can add a student discount… not sure though

Specs:

  • Integrated Intel® Graphics
  • 24 GB LPDDR5X-7467MT/s (Soldered)
  • 1 TB SSD M.2 2242 PCIe Gen4 QLC
  • 16" WUXGA (1920 x 1200), OLED, Glare, Touch, 100%DCI-P3, 300 nits, 60Hz, Glass

  • Fingerprint Reader

Let me know if you think this laptop is good. I want it to last at least 5 years during my college experience.

Very solid choice should play Roblox and Valorant just fine.
