Asking Josh about the LOQ

Hi,

In my country, Lenovo does not offer its Yoga or IdeaPad series with a dedicated GPU, not even the entry-level RTX models like the 4050 or 5050. As a result, many individuals here (particularly students) looking for an everyday laptop for schoolwork and some casual gaming and video editing typically opt for budget models like the Lenovo LOQ and MAX it out.

The Lenovo LOQs are known to be unreliable and come with numerous issues (especially the 2023 and 2024 versions). Nevertheless, students here (including some of my friends) still purchase the Lenovo LOQ for their academic needs, light gaming, and video editing tasks. The Legion series is relatively pricey in this region, making it unaffordable for most people (If a laptop is worth 1000 USD in the US, then that same product is priced around 1200 USD in India).

If you have the opportunity, could you produce a review of the 2025 Lenovo LOQ? I’m interested in the advantages and disadvantages of this laptop. Additionally, what are your personal opinions regarding this laptop? Alternatively, if a full video isn’t practical, could you share your thoughts on the LOQ briefly? This would help me inform some of my friends and juniors who are considering this laptop.

Hi.

I don’t think Josh will have time left in the year to do a review, but another good reviewer already has reviewed a 2025 LOQ. The TL;DR? It’s pretty good, just also add the cost for a better Wi-Fi card and a higher wattage power adapter. Oh, and try to get the 1440p screen because the 1080p screen has an above 20 ms response time, so not great for gaming or even moving the mouse around the screen.
