I have also looked at the lenovo LOQ intel i5, rtx 3050 version, it looks good but I’m too scared of the motherboard failing because I’ve heard it a lot

My friend had the Lenovo LOQ 2024 version with the 3050 and that was a disaster. It’s better to buy a thin and light laptop than the Lenovo LOQ. One good option in your budget is the HP victus. There aren’t many good gaming laptops in your budget but if you could increase your budget to 1000$ then you can go for the Lenovo legion 5.
yeah the hp victus was one of my options, the lowest lenovo legion i can find is about 1.3k in dollars so idk

I see. What are you thinking of doing with this laptop anyways? If playing games is your priority then the victus is good enough but if you are a casual gamer then there are good thin and light options available.
Those specs are from 4-5 years ago. Except the i5 chip everything is bad. The screen resolution is at 1080p it’s a FHD screen. Even 500$ laptops today have better resolution display. The 3050 chip is now old. Intel’s igpu nowadays is better than the 3050.

Is there any Lenovo LOQ with RTX 4050,RTX 4060,RTX 5050 or Asus TUF laptop available near you? Those are better options.

That is my recommendation to you, create a short list and watch for deals. Avoid low end graphics like 4050 as CPU graphics are getting very good.
My ultra 9 series 2, 32gb of ram runs Age of Ampires IV on high without skipping a beat. Battery life is great and it is light weight.
The Intel core ultra 7 255H and ultra 9 288H has a igpu ( arc 140T) that is comparable to the RTX 3050. If gaming is your priority then you are not getting awesome gaming experience with. 3050 in modern titles.. for older games like GTA 5 or cyberpunk 2077 and Witcher 3 may work well for the RTX 3050 but it would suffer playing more modern titles in high settings.
As @Blackstitch1022 said, the Intel processor igpus is capable enough to game in medium settings and even high settings in a few games. The newer Intel panther lake chips have igpus comparable to low wattage 4050 and even 5050. Look for a few more options, the newer LOQ may have a better resolution display. Find a 5050 one or a 4060.
yeah but the new intel ultra core laptops are actually more expensive than some rtx 4050 laptops, do you think I should just cave in and get a lenovo legion 5i?
Yeah, the legion 5i is much better. OLED display, better cooling solution totally worth the money.
i mean Panther Lake laptops arent even released yet
