For light video editing in CapCut, no raw video uploads just using web based photos and videos to create a final video. Could I use a Ultra 7 258V CPU with a integrated Arc 140V, 32 RAM, 1 TB laptop? I am looking at the ThinkPad X9-15, Yoga Slim 7i-15’, and Yoga 9i 2n1. If I go with a dedicated GPU then I will get the Legion 7i.
You can edit videos on Capcut even on a mobile phone, and the intel ultra 7 or 9 lunar lake is more powerful than any mid range mobile processor. So ig you would be fine with the lunar lake. For the tasks mentioned I think it’s okay to buy a laptop with a lunar lake chip, but keep in mind that chip is power efficient and you cannot do high perfomance gaming or tasks that demand a lot of performance.
Yea you can definitely do that with those specs, of all of those options the ThinkPad X9-15 AND The Yoga 9i 2 in 1 are the most premium ones, choose the one you like the most.
@Nerd Thank you so much. That was my thought as well. I prefer not to spend extra money for extra performance I probably will not use. I do not game and, currently, I do not record video footage to upload into a video editing software–just faceless videos on YouTube. Your advice is greatly appreciated.
@Nemusdark_HW Thank you! I was wondering which of these laptops would be just right. I am leaning towards the ThinkPad X9-15” – Lenovo has a white version, which is right up my alley…but I like blue too. The Yoga 9i 2-in-1 is blue and comes with 2 months of Adobe Cloud free. Thanks for guiding me in the right direction - your advice is very much appreciated.
Yeah even if you want you can run those professional softwares like premiere Pro or DaVinci resolve in that device but you can only edit videos on 1080p max.
Oh, only 1080p, okay. I guess that’s good enough. I hope it can handle multiple programs open at the same time, and video rendering times not too long.
I have the PERFECT suggestion. I just got the Costco version of the Lenovo slim 7. Not the yoga but in the slim series. It has the 258V and 140 integrated 32 DDR5 and 1TB. It has amazing battery and very sleek. I use it fro ligth gaming as well and it runs great. Definetly look into it, has been on sale for 300$ off to a price of $900
Thank you all for your feedback. I decided to get the white version of the Lenovo ThinkPad X9 15”, Ultra 7i 258V, 140V Intel Integrated Arc Graphics, 32GB RAM, and 1 TB storage. It just came today. Super excited. I got it for $1,375 on Lenovo’s website. Crossing my fingers it’s a perfect fit. It looks amazing.
Hi @Nerd and everyone - here are some photos of the Limited Edition White Lenovo ThinkPad X9-15”. I will send feedback once I start using the device. It comes in a 14” as well.
