I would like to understand which version would have better cooling.
I play occasionally and currently use a Ryzen 8840u, gaming is not the focus.
I work with programming so I run VSCode, Docker, browsers, and some virtual machines.
If I get one with the RTX 5050 version and turn off the graphics card, will the notebook heat up less than the one without the 5050? Or does it not make sense and it will be the same to get it without the 5050?
Would it make sense to get a 285h instead of the 255h?
I think if you disable it you get better temps and you should get better battery life, but why are you buying a laptop with a dedicated GPU if you are not going to use it?
I live in South America, and the climate here is very hot. Since I only play games occasionally, I would leave the RTX 5050 turned off most of the time to keep better CPU temperatures while Iām working. Right now, I have an LG Gram 17 with the Core Ultra 155H processor, and it gets quite hot. It only has a single cooling fan.
