Last Discussion About Laptop for CS

So, it will be the last discussion i hope. I have 2 options

Lenovo Ideapad 5 Pro(285H 32GB) -58999

Asus Zenbook 14 (285H 32 GB) - 60999

Usage: Computer Science classes (C++, Python, etc..)

Later on I wanna study Cyber Security (thats why need 32 gb ram)

Need: Decent Battery life + Portable not so heavy.

Any other options? Comment down below!

Both are great laptops but each have thier own pros and cons:-

  1. Cons for the IdeaPad 5i

• for a 1200$ laptop it looks a bit cheaper.

• trackpad is mechanical and feels cheap.

  1. Cons for the zenbook 14:-

• the keyboard gets warm to touch after using it for a while.

• high pitched fan noise.

Buy the Lenovo if you hate fan noise and you don’t want to face heating issues. Buy the zenbook if you are used to high pitched fan noise.

Look in josh’s website to compare both laptops. Search the laptop name and see what are the pros and cons of both laptops, then decide which one to buy.

i thought for smthng else. What if i buy MBP for general usage (base model) and my gaming laptop (with upgraded 32gb ram) for VMs and testing Cyber Security things. Would it be alr? Ill use mac for CS classes and gaming for futher Cyber Security things.

Absolutely. The MacBook Pro is a great laptop and trust me, it will last you 5 years without any trouble. This setup of macbook + legion would work well.

Sup bro. Im here again. I was thinking of getting a second hand M3 Max with 36-38 cycle. Would it be good? Cuz Apple raised their prices significantly here. M4 base model is like 1660+ dollars. I was thing of M3 Max for like 1900-2000 dollars. I found one.

The M3 Max Is a beast compared to the M4. You can go for it, make sure it’s in good condition and has 32+ GB of memory
