I need laptop recommendations for a cybersecurity university student with a budget of 1200 dollar’s
We have a big Cybersecurity video coming this weekend.
I like the Yoga Slim 7i for Cybersecurity at your price point. Preference for the 15inch over the 14
If you want a thin and light in that price range keep an eye on the 32GB memory model of this one. It should fall into your price range:
If you are ok with a bit more weight. This one is significnatly more powerful, has a better display, but does have less battery life. Again make sure it has 32GB memory for Cybersecurity
Both of these should fall into your price range around Black Friday. So get ready!

My budget is 1400 to 1600 dollars for a good laptop for cybersecurity university student
Seems very decent, what is the price?
Everything is good, except the screen resolution. It’s a 1.9k IPS display? Not good at all.
Go look at better ThinkPad laptops with better screen. In your budget you should get 2.8k display and 120 Hz minimum.
Do you have any good suggestion
Yoga slim 7i aura edition or the yoga 9i
Or you can buy a ThinkPad with better screen. In your 1500$ budget you can buy any of these Lenovos with good specs.
What do you think of the Lenovo yoga slime 7i 15 2025 model
Good choice for a laptop. My 3rd favourite Lenovo laptop.
