Can Lunar Lake handle VirtualBox VMs without issues?

Hey everyone! I’m hoping to get some advice from people who have used Lunar Lake for virtualisation.

I’m planning to get the ThinkPad E16 Gen 3 (Core Ultra 5 228V, 32GB RAM) and plan to run CachyOS KDE as my host. Most of the time I’ll have one VM running, either a Kubuntu Linux VM or a GNS3 VM for network labs . Very rarely I might spin up a Windows VM alongside a Linux one, with a few browser tabs and Spotify on the host. No gaming or video editing, I have a desktop at home for that.

A few things I’d love to hear from anyone with experience:

  1. Any lag or major performance issues running 1-2 VMs on Lunar Lake with VirtualBox?

  2. How has CachyOS/Linux been on Lunar Lake overall?

  3. What kind of battery life are you getting day to day in linux?

Really appreciate any answers you can share, it means a lot. Thanks so much in advance!
