I’m curious to know if anyone has ever investigated the depreciation of their devices?
I traded in an M2 Pro MacBook Pro for a Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition 32gb (It hurt, but my workplace commissioned a program that only ran on Windows AFTER I bought it, and it didn’t run on Parallels)
I took a look at the valuation for the Lenovo today, and it’s pitiful $180. Has anyone else purchased a laptop recently and investigated the value from the same retailer they got it from?
That seems wrong, who valuated your laptop? , the value your laptop has is the price of it on the second hand market like eBay and I assure is worth more than what you are describing
The Macbook was traded in to Best Buy for the Lenovo, so I checked the value on the Lenovo through Best Buy as well. I do know that Windows computers notoriously have lower trade in values, but $180 for a Copilot+ laptop seems crazy. Especially the upgraded model with 32gb of memory.
Valuations after purchase could be a good video topic in my opinion, especially compared to how much the users enjoy the machines.
Yeah and not to mention how much garbage is sold for high prices on FB marketplace to unsuspecting consumers who think they’re getting a great deal bc the price is tax free and includes a charger or something.
