NEED ADVICE: should I swap an old Surface Laptop Studio (significant wear) for a Dell G15 5530

My listing: Marketplace - Surface Laptop Studio (14.4, 32GB RAM, 2TB SSD, RTX 3050 Ti, i7 11th gen) + charger, slim pen

His listing: Marketplace - High-performance gaming or work laptop | Facebook

He’s proposing a swap + cash if I’d like. I don’t use the surface anymore, and he wants a 2-in-1. I bought another 2-in-1 but it can’t do gaming. Is this a decent trade?

You get a newer cpu, a better gpu. Overall a newer generation laptop than your surface studio.

You say you already have another 2 in 1 but cannot game on it that’s why you want to trade it for a bulkier laptop. I say trade it. But look if it has problems or not. The marketplace says that it’s new like- but check yourself as well.

Yeah I have an Omnibook Ultra Flip and I don’t use the surface anymore. I have been trying to sell it, and for someone who can deal with the wear I think it’s a good deal. I’d rather the cash but I was thinking about gaming again (e.g. football manager, EUIV, minecraft) and this Omnibook can’t really run anything without screaming like it’s in its death rows

You will be getting a bump in performance yes but keep in mind Dell G line of Gaming laptops are budget ones, don’t expect premium qualities of insane thermal performance
