Is the LG Gram Pro 17 the All-Rounder champion? Or is it a thermal trap?

Hello, longtime follower of Josh here.

I’m looking into the new LG Gram Pro 17 and wanted to get some real talk on the value. Here in my region, I can grab the following spec for about $1,650 (USD):

  • CPU: Intel Core Ultra 5 225H

  • GPU: NVIDIA RTX 5050

  • RAM: 32GB - The sweet spot!

  • Storage: 512GB SSD

  • Weight: 1.48kg (~3.26 lbs) - This is the killer feature for me.

  • OS: Win 11 Home

I personally feel like this is a Hexagon Balance laptop in the Windows space—it’s got the massive 17-inch screen, decent dedicated graphics, and it’s light enough to carry with one finger.

  1. Video Editing

  2. AAA Gaming: I expect—Medium at 1080p

  3. The Price Tag: Is $1,650 a fair deal for these specs, or am I overpaying for the Gram branding?

Would love to hear if you guys think this beats out something like a Zephyrus G16 or a MacBook Pro in terms of practicality. Thanks.
