I’m looking for a laptop around $1,000 with a great screen and a powerful CPU. A mid-range CPU with a mid or low-end GPU is also fine since the GPU isn’t very important for me. I’m a student but I will graduate this year, and I mainly use my laptop for watching lessons and content, working with documents, and using Chrome. I often have many tabs open, along with a few PDFs. I occasionally do some light editing as well.
There are so many laptops to choose from, like the ASUS Vivobook S14 series, some Zenbook models, HP Omnibook and Spectre, plus many Lenovo options, and it’s starting to get confusing for me.
The problem is that some models don’t come with the same configurations in stores in my region.
I play league as well, what’s your current fav champion? I still run lux, Ahri and Vex.
There are many options for you, i noticed your intel processor choices are old generation. And the igpu is not even that good in them. Pick 200 series arrow lake or lunar lake chips if you’re going for intel. Same newer AMD chips not a year old chips.
What region are you residing in? Try Lenovo they are the most diverse and if you’re lucky you can find many models with the option to customise. Try looking for IdeaPad pro 5 or Lenovo yoga 7 models.
Hey there, what’s up? I usually play ARAM, and my favorite champs are Azir, Quinn, Sylas, and Tristana. I’m in Turkey, but I can still access the Middle East stores. Lenovo laptops are great, my current laptop is lenovo and it is about 11 years old but the screen is broken, but the keyboard is fantastic and the speakers are still pretty good and the build quality is great
Most laptops in this price range use Intel Core Ultra 200 series processors, but they’re the V models. I know Intel integrated GPUs are usually better than AMD’s, right? many laptops have Ultra 7 258V and it is power efficiency, and there aren’t many options if I want a highend or strong performance CPU. As I mentioned, I’m would like to get a high end AMD or Intel CPU not a mid-tier one or power efficiency, they might be powerfull too i dont know to be honest
Salem brother. I love turkiye, trabzon is such a beautiful place.
I wouldn’t buy a vivobook- I do not like the screens and speakers in that. Lenovo IdeaPad has a better keyboard, screen and speakers. Which configuration of vivobook and the IdeaPad are you thinking of buying?
The intel chips usually have better iGPU compared to AMD. Look, first choose laptops that fall in your budget. Then go to nano review for comparing the cpus and igpus. Whichever has a better CPU performance wins. Then compare igpu. Make sure RAM and SSD are same in all the laptops you choose. I would say get 32 GB ram for future-proofing but 16 GB ram is fine for 3-4 years.
I would wait on a sale on the Zenbook a14 since it has a very good screen, powerful CPU and decent IGPU for light gaming and light video editing, on sale it can usually be found for $899.
Vivobook s 15.6" 3K OLED, 120Hz, Ultra 7-155H
Yoga 7 is 14" 2.8K OLED, 120Hz, Ultra 7-155H
Both have 16GB RAM and the same storage capacity. The Yoga is a 2 in 1 laptop, which is nice because I can also use it as a tablet.
I hope I can find one of these with 32GB of RAM. I don’t think the RAM slots are upgradeable.
Okay, the vivobook has a bigger screen compared to the yoga 7. But the PPI is almost identical between them so display quality is almost similar. Core ultra 7 155H is an old CPU is there no option for a 200 series processor in your budget? This CPU doesn’t even have good igpu- only the 200 series chip have arc graphics this chip has the old intel iris igpu.
