hi guys, I am thinking of buying a framework laptop in the US but I am going to take and use it in the jordan, so what problems would i face because the don`t officialy sell it in here and would you reccommned it? , and what are good alternatvies to the framework 16 mainly for programming for under 1600$? (no macbooks plz)
myabe one of these
1: zenbook s16 ryzen ai 9 pro 465 32 ram
2: swift 16 ai X7 32 ram(if it was in sale)
3: msi prestige 16 ai evo ultra 7 255H 32 ram
4: legion 5i gen 11 16 ram (becuase it is upgradable)
which one should i choose?
Right now the Swift and Legion seem to be the most recommendable simply because the other two are revised versions of laptops known to overheat easily.
Maybe they’ve been fixed (ASUS claim the new S16 has a better cooling solution, MSI claim the Prestige’s been redesigned, though the similarly-redesigned Prestige 14 still cooks), so if you want to go for those two’s build quality I’d wait for a review unless some JJT crew member wants to drop us a spoiler.
I personally like the Swift with the Panther Lake X chip out of what you have there. But just be aware you’ll likely need to use it with a mouse. The trackpad’s palm rejection is rough
