I’m an aspiring 3d enthusiast who wants to play games like monster hunter wilds

Can anyone recommend a good gaming laptop for 1200 dollars and below that works well without major downsides

I was also curious about buying laptops on ebay

3D work needs a good powered dgpu. My recommendations would be,

  1. Asus TUF F14 2025, with the 5060. ( If you want balance between power and battery).
  2. Lenovo legion 5i 2025. (If you want Raw power and do not care about battery life as you will keep it plugged in most of the time.
  3. A budget option would be the Lenovo LOQ ( decent power and not so great battery life).
  4. Asus zephyrus G16/ G14. (Professional looking gaming laptop with great power and good enough battery life).

you can go for acer but I have the acer katana 2023 and it is decent but personally I hate the fan and the battery. If this is going to be your only work station, I would suggest to go with Lenovo or Asus, or even HP omen transcend.

I like the TUF F14 2025 if you can find it at this price. Otherwise i’d look at the Leigon 5i or Legion 5

I heard bad things about the hinge on hp laptops as well as the bloatware

Should I be worried about that?
