Best durable laptop for CS major

Hi there, I’m starting university in 5 months. My previous omnibook’s screen broke and I have not been able to fix the screen for over 3 months now (part is unavailable). I’m considering buying a new laptop now…
I’ve had my eyes on the Thinkpad X9 (Intel Core Ultra 7 258V, 32 gb ram, 1tb storage) for its reputation as a durable laptop. However, I’ve seen reviews saying that the CPU is not strong enough to handle the heavy programming duties I’ll encounter. Would it be wiser to wait for a stronger panther lake laptop to come out?
Movability is my priority: I don’t want to bring a charger, I want my laptop to be light, and I want it to be small (14-15 inches max). Good screen is also a must.
The yoga seems nice but maybe a little less strong build-quality wise. Let me know

What is your budget?
