Hi everyone, I’m a digital nomad looking for a strong thin & light around 14” with no screen glare.
I do mostly basic office type stuff, lots of windows and tabs open, some light programming, no gaming. The perfect laptop would be:
- 14.5” OLED screen with anti-reflective coating
- Made from a strong material (no plastic)
- Very thin & lightweight
- 1TB storage & 32GB RAM
- Large haptic touchpad
- 2x USB-C/Thunderbolt, 1 USB-A, 1 HDMI, 1 audio jack
- Good battery life
- Under $1,500
I don’t care too much about refresh rate or a super high resolution, but of course would be nice to have. I don’t need touch screen and I’m flexible on the port selection.
Here’s what I’ve considered so far:
- Lenovo X9 14 or 15 (15 a little too big)
- Lenovo X1 Carbon Gen 13 (refurbished)
- Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x (14.5” screen size is PERFECT but it’s too reflective)
- Macbook Air (13 too small, 15 too big)
- Macbook Pro M4 (14.2” screen size is great but super expensive & a bit heavy)
The X1 Carbon I can get refurbished for about the same price as a new X9.
I live in Europe but I’m traveling to the US next month and can buy one there if it’s better.
What do you think?
Thank you!
