I very recently found a great sale in my region for new stock of the RTX 4070 ROG Flow X13, which knocks its price down to 1630 USD;
As someone who’s still looking for a portable (sub 2-kg) laptop with dedicated GPU, is the final ROG Flow X13 still a worthwhile buy, or has it been outclassed by newer laptops around the same price range?
While the fact that its a 2-in-1 laptop is very cool and relevant for a graphic designer myself, its a big bummer that it doesn’t have an OLED screen
iirc Josh never reviewed the X13 on his channel, so I don’t know whether it has any glaring flaws
Unfortuantely, I’d say no. Given that it is hard to find the ROG Flow x13 at all right now where I live and even the ProArt PX13 is overpriced (and also old), I’d say look elsewhere, but that “elsewhere” doesn’t exist right now…
The PX13 does have OLED, but it is only 60 hz and again, is using older Nvidia dGPUs…
I personally really like my 2022 X13 w/ 3050ti for general tasks. Great for office / school and probably decent for graphic design. The screen is glossy and looks good IMO. However, the X13 lineup is quite buggy, battery life is mediocre. I personally couldn’t recommend the X13 to anyone unless they’re fine with messing with their computer.
