Sharpness of Small Text and Tiny UI in Zephyrus G16 2025

Hi there, thank you very much Josh and his team for this amazing space.

As you have hands-on experience with Asus ROG Zephyrus G16 2025, I would like to know if very small texts and tiny UI elements like icons look razor sharp and smooth on the its 2.5K panel or they are slightly pixelated compared to pixel-rich screens like those of the high-end smartphones?

I will be doing a lot of reading, coding, and Excel-ing on it, and I want to make sure if I can comfortably look at it for long work sessions without having eye strain.

I would be so glad if you can help me on this.

I’m going to be straight up with you and tell you like it is. They don’t. You need to really be well 200 PPI for text to look super sharp. Something like the Yoga Pro 9i with a 3200 by 2000 display will be much better for you. I agree with most of this, just be aware that battery life will likely suffer with higher resolution screens. And also, if possible, try to test the laptops out in store or make sure they have a good return policy if you don’t like it.

That being said, I’m using a 2560x1600 16 inch laptop and I personally don’t notice any text scaling issues. Screen size and screen resolution are only two factors to consider for “text sharpness”.
