Replacement Issue

Last week, I ordered a Yoga slim 7i 14” with 32 gb, 1 tb, and 258v from Lenovo’s website. It seemed like it was a flash sale so the model ran out pretty quickly and it’s currently out of stock.

I received the laptop today, but the space bar has a fairly large bump on the right side that keeps it from sitting flush.

I called customer support to set up a replacement order but they said there is nothing they can do until the order is back in stock.

There’s currently a nearly identical model online where the only difference I can see is that mine had Windows 11 Pro and this one has Windows 11 Home. But this version is now about $400 more becuase it’s not on sale

It feels crazy that they won’t just replace mine with the available model with Windows 11 Home but they said it has to be an identical match.

I set up email notifications to let me know if the model I bought is back in stock but am I crazy to assume they won’t ever have this model come back again? Or at least not within the 30 day return warranty?

Any other suggestions for how I can make sure to get my same or similar model without having to pay hundreds of dollars more?
