I am looking for a laptop mainly for daily use such as watching movies, studying, and rarely gaming (I don’t really play AAA games). I’m looking for a laptop with good performance, at least a 2–3K resolution display, 15+ inches, good battery life (at least 6+ hours), and no bulky adapter (so probably a laptop without a dedicated GPU).
I am trying to choose between the Lenovo X9 15 (258V) and the Zenbook S16 (HX370 or 465) , but I’m open to other suggestions as well. MSI Prestige 16 386H is an option too but the previous version overheats a lot so I am not really sure if this one is good or not. I can also wait for the X9 15p if its gonna be out soon.
Since I like watching movies and TV series a lot, I think OLED would be more suitable for me. I have never used a Mac before. My main preference is to stay with Windows, but if the MacBook Pro is good enough, I could consider it as well.
I don’t really have a strict price limit. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
I’m curious what others say. I’m also interested in these types of laptops. Thinkpad X9, Zenbook S16, XPS 16, Prestige 16, maybe one of the LG grams. I feel like there are lots of options. Also the M5 MBA 15, with the recent price changes the M5 16/512GB at $1300 seems very competitive in pricing now compared to the Windows options. I wonder if there is enough here for Josh to do a round up and comparison video.
X9 15 is perfect, it only lacks raw power. X9 15p would be a perfect laptop for me. I prefer 16 inch but I guess it would be my choice. Zenbook on the other hand looks very nice I prefer bigger screen size but overheating is a thing so I am very close to Lenovo.
Are there any information about the release date of X9 15p?
I have no information about MSI Prestige 386H tho. If they fixed the overhating problem it would be very nice too.
I also would like to see comparison videos more often.
Yes! I watched the video and checked the review yesterday. I think I wil choose S16 in this case. Because where I live Lenovo laptops are not available right away. I don’t really use HDR but 500 nits should be more than enough.
