Is this a good laptop for me?

I’m getting a new laptop for school, and the Dell XPS 13 9350 with the 258v, 32gb ram, 1 TB SSD, and an OLED screen is $1.7k CAD with an additional 4% cash back. I will use it for school work, some programming, and light work that I may need for engineering at school. I know it isn’t that powerful, but I’m thinking that it would still be good for on the go doing whatever I can.

Are there any better options available at this price? I know I could get something more powerful for less, but I don’t want to sacrifice battery life and portability.

If you don’t want to sacrifice battery life and portability, I suggest going with that one, but it may be worth looking at other options before making the final purchase. You could also look for a ZenBook 14.

Are there any other CPU options in a laptop this price with better performance yet good battery life? With 32gb ram? CAD.
