Advice on laptop purchase

I’m from egypt and my brother will buy me a laptop from the US illinois, i’m a CS student studying AI & Data Science i still haven’t progressed deep into my career to know what i need to purchase but i will need the laptop to train my own models as there is limited jobs for AI engineers here and will need to build up my CV with my own models and i do some triple A gaming, rn there is a deal on the HP Oman max 16 with a AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 375 (2.0GHz) Processor, 32GB DDR5-5600 RAM, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Graphics Card, 16" WQXGA IPS Anti-Glare Display, for 1800$ (my budget is 2000$) in microcenter and i think it’s an amazing deal but i never heard of the Ryzen AI 9 HX 375 before and idk if it bottlenecks the gpu or it would affect my AI work and chat gpt confused me even more.

my question is do i buy it or wait for another laptop to go on sale with a better CPU but might be a worse GPU?

Thank you for your time.

An RTX 5080 for under $2k in a great laptop like the OMEN Max 16, buy it. That CPU is fine. It’s likely going to help give you decent battery life

I am also a uni student learning AI and ML. The 5080 that has 16 GB vram is great for AI and ML workloads. The CPU is good enough- in theory you will not face any major bottlenecks. I say Buy the OMEN I don’t think the price would go any lower.

If it weren’t for AAA gaming then I would have suggested the M5 macbook pro.
