"Good For" Filter Confusion

I really like the design of the website and how it helps you decide on a laptop, but I am not sure which filter to use for sleek designs. I remember liking the Asus TUF A14 because it had gaming performance without the “gamer-y” look. So I don’t know which filter to use for that kind of look where it’s not ultra RGB all the time.

so you basically want a laptop with dedicated GPU but no RGB?

Yes, and I was wondering if one of the “Good For” filters describes the “professional looking” kind -of laptop?

You can turn off the RGB on a laptop.

In terms of “professional looking” laptops with a dGPU, you just need to use the weight filter relative to display size. For example 16” display, ~4.0 lbs, with dedicated graphics and you will get all of the thinner gaming and creative laptops that dont have giant vents all over the laptop.

If you want/need more performance than that, then sadly, its not really possible. A full power dGPU needs cooling and that cooling adds weight and size and those vents. Its just physics. If you are a professional engineer, you may get away with a big laptop like that and still look professional. But if you’re a normal office worker, you will stick out with a chunky laptop no matter how stealth the design is.
