Really happy to see at least one company, Asus, has taken the plunge into full productivity/creation focus with their new 2026 G14. I’ve been waiting for someone to finally put that damn full size SD card reader into a powerful 14” laptop. I will still wait and see if anyone else has something similar but with a touchscreen (Asus make it happen with the ProArt 14, maybe the GoPro one?).
Also sidenote funny typo on their page, says 12GB GDDR7 for their RTX 5070 specs.
the GoPro Edition is a new PX13 aka ROG Flow X13, a full size SD card is prolly too big to fit in a 13 inch laptop
I’m actually looking to upgrade from my 2022 Flow X13 so a modern, powerful PX13 would be fantastic. The gopro styling is a bit much imo, but I like the rugged look otherwise.
I don’t agree about the SD card though, it’s definitely possible, just depends how badly a company wants to add it (as they have just shown with the G14). I would also expect a creator focused laptop to have a full size SD card reader, but sadly since it is a gopro collab, they are incentivized to stick with the micro SD card :/.
Edit: the teaser images of the GoPro PX13 definitely look like a micro SD card slot, bummer!
Also, the PX13 has a screen that is still 60 hz for such a premium laptop in 2026… How ridiculous!
