As part of laptop choosing criteria, where does customer service stand between Lenovo, ASUS and MSI? Meaning if hardware issues and you need something fixed is one of these particularly bad/slow and which one rates better?
I think out of all of those, Lenovo is the one with the best customer support.
If anybody else here has experience with Asus or MSI’s customer support, please feel free to share it.
I am no expert, but I think the order would be:
Lenovo >……………………………………………………….. > MSI > ASUS
Lenovo is just years ahead, because they have reputation as a go-to for businesses and well, that means something.
Having said that, it depends a lot on where you are located and how lucky you are with your rep.
I’ve heard terrible things about ASUS, which is probably why I placed them last, but if you dig yopu can probably find terrible stories about all of them, and my work MSI just works, no issues, so never had to communicate with CS (which is probably the best type of CS)
Lenovo is the best of the three. I’d say all laptop brands have mid or worse customer support, but Asus is horrid. I’ve tried contacting them about general laptop info and they have zero helpful information. Most of the time they misinterpret my questions and just try to end the chat by saying that “they don’t know” or “can’t help”.
MSI has good customer support in my locality. 100 times better than Razor’s customer support
although Lenovo has the best customer support out there, comparable to Apple. Asus is just terrible in my locality. Razor and ASUS is almost equal in this regard.
Thanks all, it was one of my last criteria before buying a new laptop, I really like the ASUS strix and Lenovo legion, and then saw on Reddit lots of complaints about the Lenovo legion hardware issues and difficulty with customer service so was quite unsure which to go for, so maybe I shouldnt be swayed by Reddit!
Also remember that in some countries support is determined by where you bought the thing, not always who made it.
