Laptops for Audio Editing. Laptops for those doing professional audio editing and using apps like Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Reaper, Ableton etc.
You have a category and suggestion list for video editors. That is very handy for those doing video and audio editing. However audio editing is less intensive than that so audio editors don’t need as powerful a laptop for their work. If they followed the advice of video editing laptops then they’d waste money on a model that’s too expensive and powerful for what they need and which they’d not use most of the capacity of.
There’s a large number of audio editors working in the music industry, the film industry, producing videos and recordings etc. They currently aren’t served by the categories you have and aren’t helped by the advice you give so far. It is distinct in needs and aims and requirements enough from video editing and the other categories to earn it’s own distinct category.
It should of course compare prices, RAM and storage. It should compare speaker quality and mini Jack ports and Bluetooth capabilities for external devices (like microphones and headphones and mixers). It should cover app compatibility of the major DAWs (Digital Audio Workstations) for instance, so that people know that this laptop can run pro tools and Ableton but not Logic Pro. Like video editing it should cover export times and sending large files.
