Hi

I have just recently purchased the **lenovo yoga 7i 2 in 1** with the **Ultra 7 256V , 16GB RAM** and the **lower res screen**. According to Josh video and review the laptop should be able to stay up with office task and productivity for around 8 hours and more. For some reason the laptop for me fluctuates with its estimates too much, sometimes showing estimates to be 7 to 9 hours and wometimes drops down to 1 to 2 hours , sometimes 4 to 6 hours [Basically fluctuates too much it is scary]. Is this normal for a laptop that has just been booted up for the first time ever yesterday? or do I better return it or exchange it?

BTW I keep the screen brightness at 20% and I have applied all the [Reduce your carbon footprint] options. Also I have printed battery report using CMD and found design capacity = actuall full capacity = 70,000mWh or something like that

Please guide me on what I have to do cause I have very limited time to actually return it if something is wrong.

Thanks

Maybe, maybe not. I think it’s a software issue. Or it could be a defected model I can’t say for sure. Use it for a day or two. See how long it lasts on office use. If it gives around 7-8 hours then nothing is wrong with it except a bad estimating software. If the battery life fluctuates irl. For example, yesterday it gave you 8 hours of battery life but today while doing the exact kind of work it gave you 4-5 hours then it is a big issue.

You could have some programs running in the background; the Yoga should achieve that battery life when performing basic light tasks.
