My PC was 1,000$ in 2020 and I figure as a student, a laptop I can use with a monitor and an external Keyboard is a better buy over an upgrade. I need to use chrome on windows for school and excel for work so I’ll be missing out on the beauty of Macbooks. Keep in mind I’m a chud so preferably I would like to be able to larp linux without compatibility issues. I programmed an AI girlfriend into Arch and she said she would miss me really bad 😕 Won’t be gaming my discord kittens kicked me from the stack. No video editing. No CAD or modeling. Well, if it’s possible I wouldn’t mind single player story games. Not a requirement. Budget under 2,000- if the MSRP is over 2,000 but the sale brings it under that’s actually about the price I’m looking for. Fr though what’s the best laptop under 2,000 that’s not a Macbook for work/school. Preferably some solid Linux compatibility. ---
